My wife and I started training with Paul over six months ago. We have been attending gyms for ten years, but without the benefit of personal training. It quickly became apparent we had been wasting a lot of time on inefficient regimes. Paul started us slowly, but the exercises we do today greatly exceed those we were capable of at the beginning. Our core strength is greatly enhanced, as is our balance, not to mention the increased muscle tone and sense of well being. Paul tells us we are performing exercises many younger people can’t attempt, and considering we are both seniors, that is quite an achievement. We consider ourselves very fortunate in finding Paul.
Paul is a great guy who knows his job well. He has been training me now for a few weeks, I've always been nervous about PT's but Paul made sure from the first time I met him that this was all about what I wanted and what' best for me. His research and training are world class and that doesn't even compare to his lovely warm personality. I wish, though, he would leave those steps at home when its my turn to train, they seem to get higher and higher (only joking). Seriously a fantastic guy who knows what he's talking about.
As a competitative cyclist I've always had the will to win, however I've never found the right combination to get to the top. Paul is that million dollar ticket I have just won in my sport. My secret weapon that will allow me to reach my peak performance. Not only is Paul exceptional at what he does as a trainer, but his tenacious personality and support has made my dream the start of a wonderful journey and without Paul's knowledge about dietary matters and training I now know that this is how it will remain—a dream. Its a long journey but I know as a team we can reach that world stage in a couple of years. A truly wonderful man who leads by example—Thanks Paul. I found Paul searching on the internet for trainers. I've had many personal trainers and most of them have been money hungry and not interested in teaching the proper techniques, which left me frustrated. However Paul not only makes training enjoyable he know what he's talking about. He is continually studying to better himself and his training. Unlike most trainers, Paul actually seems to care and is interested in making sure when he's training me he's also teaching me the proper technique. I'm grateful I found Paul as he truly is a great trainer. Thanks Paul
My sessions with Paul were both very educating and enjoyable. I learned of the strengths and weaknesses with my body - which weren't as I'd expected. Paul works a lot on strengthening the weak areas of your body which in turn allows you to align yourself better in general. I'm an avid reader and had been attending the gym and fitness classes for a few years and therefore thought that I knew quite a bit about exerise, fitness and weights, but since my sessions with Paul I now have a totally new outlook about exercise - focussing more on the correct way both to strenthen my body and to prevent injury. I am now much wiser in my approach to exercise. I'd like to thank Paul for both his training technique and for going that little bit extra. Thanks Paul! Before contacting Paul, I had been training with a Personal Trainer each week for several months. During this time I did have a few concerns, but as I had not trained with a Personal Trainer before, I thought my expectations may have been too high. After chatting with few friends who are regular ‘gym junkies’, I decided to source another trainer who could possibly provide the level of training, motivation and expertise I was looking for. Luckily for me, I contacted Paul. I must admit that I am not the most co-ordinated person, but Paul is always positive, encouraging and polite. More importantly, he is very professional and with his help my confidence is growing each week and I know that my goals are now achievable.
I began training with Paul approx 7months ago, but for only 3 sessions!!! At the end of the 3 sessions I was hooked and have been training twice a week with him since... sometimes 3 times a week. I had a goal to look as good as I could for my 40th birthday... I certainly felt great and was thrilled with my progress. Paul's approach is a holistic one which I believe will always get the best results; there is no point only concentrating on exercise if you eat all the wrong foods etc. Paul is very knowledgeable and his continued study in the C.H.E.K. methods is of great benefit to his clients as he is always providing new and interesting information. Paul takes the time to explain exercises carefully and ensures your programme is aiming to achieve your goals. He is always prepared and ready to give advice or new challenges if required. Over the past 7 months I have certainly seen the benefits of having a P.T. and now don't see it as a luxury but an investment in my health, fitness and well being. Thanks Paul.
I started training with Paul only a few months ago when I joined my sister, who has been training with Paul for almost a year. I must admit I was a little apprehensive, not having trained with a PT before, but my sister raved about him all the time!! Well I can easily say that training is fantastic, something I really look forward to. Paul is very generous with his time & full of information to answer all of my many questions! We have had a lot of fun training together, while working very hard to achieve results. I am much fitter and very keen to keep up the effort. Paul has shown us lots of different exercises, always explaining which muscles are working to achieve the desired result. He is always encouraging and listens to us when we have queries, or aches & pains. I would definitely recommend training with Paul.
During the course of having four children I managed to gain 30 kg. The bulk of my weight gain came with my first pregnancy, due to that old and very untrue saying 'Your eating for two now'. Well I sure did that! And I kept going right through all four pregnancies until I weighed in at 89 kgs. Yep I was still wearing my maternity clothes even though I was not pregnant anymore. The number 89 was on my mind and one day I looked in the mirror and thought—'How did I get here?'—That's when I decided it was time to think—'How do I get out of here?'—So I started walking, watching my food intake and joined a gym. Then I met Paul Twyman a fantastic trainer and thought it was high time I did something for me … so now with Personal Training I am down to 69 kgs. I still have a way to go but the great thing is Iím on my way. So watch this space.
I used to weigh 89 kgs and now I'm 69 kgs. I often joke with my family and friends … I'm in love with my personal trainer! Yes when they give me compliments on how much weight Iíve lost and how great I look and ask how are you doing it? That joke is always my reply. Paul is just so amazing; he knows everything there is to know about getting fit, losing weight, eating healthy and motivation. If he sees me struggling with the exercise he joins in and does it along side me to keep me going, and that is what keeps me coming back. He has an equalling amazing wife (thank-you Sharleen) who is a huge source of inspiration for me and she has been there too and achieved unbelievable results. Thank-you so much Paul I look forward to the future of more weight lost and yes beating my running time.
18 months ago I was super fit, attending 5–6 cardio classes each week (majority of which I would make sure Pauls wife Sharleen was instructing) but I still didnít have the body shape I wanted. From past experience Iíve always said 'I'll never have a male trainer again'—well that was until I started to see the transformations in Sharleen. I was so inspired I started training with Paul, I figured Shar's an amazing person so her husband must be too. Within no time my body shape started changing and my muscle tone increased as did my confidence! Family, friends and even people I didnít know at the gym were complimenting me on how I looked. My husband also started training with Paul and the shape of his body changed dramatically (typical man). Although at times I curse him (not quietly either) I always look forward to my training session. Paul is the only trainer I have and would recommend, so if you're looking for someone who is purely dedicated to helping you achieve your results, than you've found him.
I had always trained at gym two to three times per week but never with a trainer. With my wedding approaching I thought I would try it and booked a session with Paul. After the session, I felt I had worked harder than any other previous training session I had carried out myself. I felt great! I continued training with Paul twice a week leading up to the wedding, wanting to tone and feel confident in myself and my body. Paul encouraged me to do my best and train my hardest and was also able to have a laugh sometimes too. On the wedding day I felt like the princess I had always wanted to be. My dress fitted me perfectly and best of all I had confidence and felt great! I am continuing my training now and look forward to having Paul train me during pregnancy and beyond. I have been training with Paul now for about 7 months and the aim was to loose some weight before I went to Bali. I lost the weight and loved the way I felt that I continued training, I train twice a week and have had fantastic results. Even people I don't know come up to me at the gym and say how great I look ñ it makes you so much more confident. I have lost 10 kilos in 7 months and my body shaped has changed—I am so happy with the way I look. Thanks Paul :o)
I have always been fit but after having three children my body shape changed and I was carrying an extra five kilos. No matter what I did I couldnít shift that last five kilos or change my body shape. That was until I started training with Paul. Paul gave me the motivation and encouragement to achieve my desired results. I have noticed a fantastic change in my body shape and muscle tone and those last five kilos are gone. I still keep having training sessions with Paul at least once a week as I really enjoy and look forward to them. I have been getting compliments from family and friends who are noticing a huge change in the way I look. Paul really enjoys what he does and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of health and fitness I can thoroughly recommend Paul for any goal you want to achieve whether it just be weight loss or just an increase in fitness levels. In the last year of consistent, regular training with Pure Energy Fitness, I have reached my goals and improved in body strength, core stability and muscle toning. Paul has helped keep me motivated and focussed with his knowledge and expertise. It's been a great year! Thanks heaps
Paul was my personal fitness trainer from September to November 2006 inclusive, the business relationship only ending as he went to the UK for a month in December of that year and also transferred to another gym which was too far for me to attend. I really enjoyed working with Paul; he was very professional, courteous, friendly, encouraging and worked at a pace that suited me. He made me work hard but the sessions were always interesting and different and the time went very quickly. I found that the results I desired were achieved, even in such a short time and I was very sorry that I could not continue to see him. I would highly recommend Paul for personal training sessions.
Paul was my personal trainer for over a year. Paul personalised my training with regards to my short/long term goals, sport specific goals and injury rehabilitation. Paulís motivation was contagious, and before long I was achieving personal bests in fitness and strength. Paul is continuously adding to his already extensive knowledge base; experimenting with new training techniques and informing me about results from fitness studies. Paul is well-mannered, compassionate, responsible and, most importantly, he has a fantastic sense of humour. Paul makes working out enjoyable and I would recommend him to everyone. | |||||
